Eat Those Cute Little Cream Cheese Packets - Day 12

Breakfast - Bagels and Cream Cheese

Breakfast - Bagels and Cream Cheese

Breakfast: Toasted cinnamon and raisin bagels with cream cheese, and milk and coffee. The cream cheese was in the little packets. It came with breakfast at a motel several months ago. Yes, it was still good. I think those little packets, especially when refrigerated, last forever. Though, I did check the expiration date on these and it was a still a week away, so they were officially okay, too. I tend to hang on to them, instead of using them right away when we get them. It's time to quit saving them and eat them.

Lunch was at a Mexican restaurant in town. I was craving a good hamburger and fries. When I make them at home, they just aren't the same. Last night's trip to DQ was a frugal attempt to satisfy the craving; it didn't work. So, today, we went out for a nice lunch together. As a side note, it seems wrong to go to a Mexican restaurant for a hamburger and fries. But, the local Senor Pancho's burgers are better than any others we've had in this area.

Lunch also included fresh vegetables. Senor Pancho's serves burgers with a generous amount of lettuce and slices of tomatoes. They also have a salsa bar that includes fresh pico da gallo, onions, cilantro, jalapenos, a fresh mango salsa, and another fresh salsa with lots of onions and hot chili peppers.

Snacks: Dates, dried cherries, cranberry grape juice.

Note about the juice. It's 100% juice. The label makes that very clear. The label also gives the impression that it is cranberry juice. Well, only a little of it is cranberry juice. Reading the ingredient label, it lists grape juice as the main ingredient. We've had it before and I was aware of it. However, it is a bit tricky if you are expecting one kind of juice based on the big letters across the front of the bottle.

Let's see what we come up with tomorrow, for Easter.
